Australia's South By Southwest representative Phil Tripp will be taking is about to take his travelling show on the road to talk about SxSW 2008.
Tripp has organised seminars for Sydney and Melbourne starting early October.The free three hour seminars will include a panel of five speakers including those who've worked SxSW in previous years and had great success. So far Gregg Donovan (manager of Grinspoon, Josh Pyke and Airbourne and two year veteran of SXSW) is confirmed for Sydney with the tag team of Mary Mihelakos & EMI Records' exec Glenn Dickie (Australian Music Collective) for Melbourne along with Arts Victoria Program Manager of Victoria Rocks (and Something for Kate manager) Jonathan Williamson also confirmed with other speakers to be announced.
Dates are:
October 4, Melbourne, Corner Hotel
October 8, Sydney, Manning Bar
The seminars will each run three hours.
SxSW 2008 will take place in Austin, Texas between March 12 and 16.
