South by Southwest Announces Second List Of Bands For 2011

Music industry conference South by Southwest in Austin, TX has announced the first list of artists that will be appearing at the festival component in 2011.

Some complete unknowns are mixing in with some old favourites at the festival that will take place from March 16 - 20 all over the city of Austin.
 
Highlights include Quintron and Miss Pussycat from New Orleans, San Francisco based Ty Segall, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J. Mascis, the always-amazing rock and soul driven Bellrays, British rapper Professor Green and singer/songwriter City and Colour (a.k.a. Dallas Green from Alexisonfire).
 
The Australian bands included in the second mailout are Blue King Brown and Wagons, who will join Art vs. Science, The Holidays, The Jezabels, Miami Horror and The Swiss in battling it out for the attention of music industry big wigs.
 
It should also be noted that a band with the name "Doctor Krapula" exists. Seriously.
