Queens Of The Stone Age have worked with rogue superstar chef Anthony Bourdain on a Thanksgiving TV special.
Rolling Stone reports that the snarling rockers found common ground with the badboy chef, producing the bizarre Thanksgiving special for his hit show 'No Reservations'. Frontman Josh Homme admitted "We just got a call saying, 'Hey, we have a weird idea.' So when people come to us with that sort of a statement we are all ears."In the episode, Queens are causing an almighty ruckus in the basement of a Connecticut home where Bourdain is assembling a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. They emerge from their rehearsal wearing the most hideously kitsch Christmas sweaters ever seen. (If you can stand it, photos accompany the Rolling Stone article online.)
They reveal that the episode will include karaoke, surly adolescents, Japanese businessman and, says Bourdain, a vicious brother-on-brother knife fight. "What's a holiday special without violent mayhem?" he quipped.
Homme noted that the participating in the special may end up ruining "ten years of credibility".
