Producing mogul Timbaland helps Ashlee Simpson with the voices in her head.
Speaking to MTV, the acid reflux spokespoppet has revealed that her new album will show the many facets to her personality - including bad-girl Vicky Valentine. At a preview of the album in Las Vegas, Ashlee insisted "You will know when Vicky is in the room!" presumably when she launches the as-yet-untitled album due out in November. Considering her first two albums were titled 'Autobiography' and 'I Am Me', this multiple-personality-disorder third album sounds like an opportunity for Simpson to compound her narcissism exponentially.
She told MTV, "I just have too many voices in my head, everyone having their own opinion. And while I have a sweet side, a soft side, sometimes you just want to kick some ass, too." Rather that put the rock boots on, it looks like Simpson will veer to more electro and hip hop. Timbaland has produced and Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes guests on the album.
Song titles include 'Murder', 'Ragdoll', and 'Ay Ay Ay'. She admits Vicky emerges on 'Rulebreaker', saying "I like to break rules, get tattoos, scratch things. ... I'm a black sheep." Then again, when asked what she has been getting up to in Sin City, this bad-ass evaded by exclaiming, "My dad is in the room!"
