Former Tea Party front man Jeff Martin revealed he was asked to join the Doors of the 21st Century.
He told Undercover “I was the first person they called.” After making a crack at the comparisons to the late Doors singer, Jim Morrison, Martin has had to endure for his entire professional career.“It was pretty bad seeing Ian Astbury dancing around like that, but I think that's what he wanted, you know?”
The Doors of the 21st Century featured original Doors members Ray Manzarek and Robbie Kreiger with former Cult frontman Ian Astbury on vocals.
