Fried chicken connoisseur and baby factory Britney Spears looks set to resume her erstwhile career as a musician.
Billboard reports that an actual song, featuring Britney's vocals, will be sent to US radio next week. There is still a debate about whether the track will be the first official single from a new album, or whether it is merely a teaser for a future promotional push to return Spears to her role as pop's Trailer Trash princess. The song, titled 'Gimme More', is a reportedly "up tempo cut". It has been produced by Timbaland associate Nate "Danja" Hills. 'Gimme More' is confirmed to appear on Spears' long awaited follow up to 2003's 'In The Zone'.
Alongside Danja, Billboard reports that Jonathan "J.R." Rotem is also contributing. Rotem worked on Rihanna's 'S.O.S.' and on Heroes starlet Hayden Panettiere's forthcoming musical debut. Also, Sean Garrett (responsible for Fergie's 'London Bridge') confirmed that he is working on Spears' comeback.
Other rumoured contributors include Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz, T-Pain, Ne-Yo, and Dr. Luke (who co-wrote Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone' and Avril's 'Girlfriend').
