Trent Reznor has slammed the most recent incarnation of the Smashing Pumpkins as "corporate".
Speaking to NME, Reznor said "I was never a big Smashing Pumpkins fan back when they were the Pumpkins, not to shit on Billy (Corgan) or anything but I don't hear anything that would make me want to care."I think trying to resurrect the name Smashing Pumpkins... it's all a bit corporate for me."
Smashing Pumpkins in the studio was rarely anything more than Jimmy Chamberlain on drums and Billy on everything else, with James Iha and D`arcy mainly filling out the band live.
Their album 'Zeitgeist' shows a heavier Pumpkins that was only touched upon in the years leading up to their demise.
