Two men are dead from cardiac arrest following a drinking spree at the Ozzfest concert in Holmdel, New Jersey on the Thursday.
Raymond Guarino (26) and Patrick Norris (24) were pronounced dead when they arrived at the Bayshore Medical Center after taking a cocktail of cocaine and marijuana with the alcohol.83 people were arrested at the concert, mostly for under-age drinking.
Live Nation, the promoter of the Ozzfest shows, claims that most of the under-age drinking occurs in the carpark and that they have no power to police the area, even though alcohol is banned in the car-park.
The excessive drinking problem is magnified as alcohol is available for sale inside the venue.
Live Nation released a statement saying "Although we do not have jurisdiction over the parking lot, we fully support the decision of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and State Police to ban alcohol on the parking lot premises."
