Daddy Cool will make their first television appearance in 34 years on Channel 7's Sunrise this Wednesday.
The band is back together for a lap of Australia with the Beach Boys and Christopher Cross in November. They recently released a third album, 'The New Cool'.
The DC reunion first bubbled in 2005, following the Tsunami disaster in South East Asia. The band reformed to play before 10,000 people at Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl. That performance was filmed and later released on DVD.
Later that year, Daddy Cool went into the studio for the first time in nearly three and a half decades to record 'The Christmas Bug' for charity. That lead to more sessions with the result, 'The New Cool' in November 2006.
Daddy Cool had the biggest selling rock album of its day in the 70s when the debut 'Daddy Who Daddy Cool' sold over 60,000 units. They made the entire album in just 2 and a half days. The band's signature tune 'Eagle Rock' spent 11 weeks at number 1. It is still played daily on Australian radio.
