An image on the Nine Inch Nails website hints at a remix album for 'Year Zero'.
Under a post titled "coming soon" there was only a small picture of what looked like an album cover - a desolate, bleached industrial wasteland branded with a title 'Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D'.While the post wasn't that ambiguous, Nebraskan indie synth-pop band The Faint were a little more frank on their website. The most recent post states "We're back from tour and working on a remix for NIN." Pitchfork reports that the band's manager confirmed that they have remixed 'Meet Your Maker' from the album.
Nine Inch Nails are well known for offering remixed and reworked versions of their albums: 1992's 'Broken' was followed by 'Fixed', 1994's 'The Downward Spiral' was followed by 'Further Down The Spiral', 1999's 'The Fragile' was followed by 'Things Falling Apart' yet 2005's 'With Teeth' did not have an accompanying remix.
The satellite releases are known as 'halos' and the 'Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D' picture was labeled "halo25". There is no word on a release date or any other remixers yet.
