Lily Allen has been forced to postpone her scheduled appearances in the US after having her visa revoked.
Allen was detained for five hours earlier this month after flying to Los Angeles from Australia, with her record label saying at the time that the situation would be sorted in time for her September touring commitments.A statement on her website says that the reinstatement process "has taken longer than anticipated". Her tour was scheduled to kick off in San Diego on September 6, and included an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Allen said, "I am so disappointed that I won't be able to come to the States at this time. I was really looking forward to playing these shows and being part of the Video Music Awards. I want my fans to know that I'll be back as soon as I possibly can!"
