As part of the 50th Anniversary of the Stax label, Concord Records will release 'the Stax/Volt Revue Live In Norway 1967' on DVD.
Highlights of the concert include a 5 song performance from the late Otis Redding, 4 songs from Sam & Dave and performances from Booker T & The MG's, Arthur Conley, Eddie Floyd and The Mar-Keys.Songs on the DVD cover soul and R&B history. Tracks include 'Green Onions', 'Hold On I'm Coming', 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby' and 'Sweet Soul Music'.
The video footage has been transferred from the original masters after being stored in a television studio vault for the past 40 years. A lost reel with an additional 20 minutes of footage was also found and included on the DVD.
'The Stax/Volt Revue Live In Norway 1967' is said to be the most complete collection of a Stax concert ever to be released.
Look for it in stores from October.
