Showbiz legend Neil Sedaka is to be honoured for his 50 years in the biz by Natalie Cole, The Captain & Tenille and Clay Aiken in New York in October.
Sedaka is using the event to raise money for Elton John's AIDS Foundation.Elton regenerated interest in Sedaka's career in 70s when he played piano of Neil's hit 'Bad Blood'.
Sedaka had been making hits since the late 50s after Connie Francis recorded his song 'Stupid Cupid' for the movie 'Where The Boys Are'.
He then had his own hits with 'Stairway To Heaven' (no, not THAT one), 'Calender Girl's, 'Stupid Cupid' and 'Breaking Up Is Hard To Do'.
Sedaka will be honoured at the Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on October 27th.
