Ben Lee has finished his new video after the first effort was shut down for indecent exposure.
In late-July Ben headed to his spiritual home of New York to shoot a clip for his new single 'Love Me Like The World Is Ending'. Among the circus of a cast (businessman, homeless guy, rabbi, Muslim, unicorn) were a couple of skateboarders who were to be shot in nude suits tearing up the pavement around the Big Apple.According to Lee, something got lost in translation and the skateboarders ended up hitting the streets completely naked, only to be stopped by a couple of New York's finest. Shooting permit was revoked, film was unusable and, of course, the footage made its way onto YouTube. But now they had to dream up a new, fully-clothed concept.
The new version promises a 'flash mob'-styled water balloon fight, which sounds like even more fun. Since the song is already in stores and online, look out for the clip on a TV screen near you.
Lee is playing as part of Michael Franti's Up! Festival around the nation when his new album 'Ripe' is released on September 15.
