James Taylor will release a live album through Starbucks' record label at the end of the year.
'One Man Band' will be the third release from Hear Music, the label owned by Starbucks and the Concord Music Group, and will feature "live and intimate" recordings of many of Taylor's tunes, including 'Something In The Way', 'Carolina In My Mind' and 'Fire And Rain'.It will be the third release from Hear Music. Paul McCartney's 'Memory Almost Full' was released in June, and has sold almost half-a-million copies in the US to date. Joni Mitchell's new album, 'Shine', arrives on 25 September. Around half of the sales of McCartney's album were via Starbucks outlets.
The release will also feature a DVD component, featuring "exclusive interviews and rare multimedia footage, including home movies and photographs from Taylor's personal archives."
"This set is an intimate retrospective of 40 years worth of songs and the people, places and events that inspired them," said Taylor.
A specific release date is yet to be set.
