South by Southwest 22 Is Open For Business

The 22nd SxSW Music and Media Conference will take place in Austin, Texas from March 12 - 16, 2008.

Tickets for next year's event went on sale this week.

This year's event featured a keynote address from The Who's Pete Townshend and performances from Iggy & The Stooges, Hoodoo Gurus, Ricki Lee Jones, Public Enemy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and the Stax Revue featuring Booker T and the MGs.

Around 1000 acts perform in about 60 venues over the 4 day event which is attended by music and media peeps from across the planet.

SxSW is now accepting applications from artists for next year's event.
