Stewart Copeland, drummer for the Police, is about to round up and re-issue works from his long solo career.
Copeland first gave us a taste of his solo sound under the guise of mild, mannered Klark Kent in the late 70s. He was in The Police at the time and the record was released under the pseudonym."Contained on this album are some of the many musical adventures that I've had", Stewart said in a statement. "Roughly chronological, 'The Anthology' starts with the callow charm of Klark Kent, and ends up with some of the slicker things that I have figured out after four decades of my obsession with music."
The album features his work as Rumble Fish for the movie of the same name. Francis Ford Coppola recruited Stewart in 1983 to write the soundtrack for the movie and his solo career began. That project featured the track 'Don't Box Me in' which was actually Wall of Voodoo with Copeland.
