Hip hop superstars Kanye West and 50 Cent will go head to head on September 11 as West's 'Graduation' and Fiddy's 'Curtis' are released on the same date.
West isn't scared, telling MTV "The date, Graduation, September 11, we ain't moving. I'd rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 where people are excited about going to the stores and it's an event and people talk about it and be number two on that day rather than come out and be #1 on a day nobody cares about."It's about things going down in history. It's not that much exciting stuff in Hip-Hop right now. I think people are going to make it more than what I'm making it myself. At the end of the day, I'm making music and I'm trying to sell."
The first single, 'Stronger' is a classic example of West's ability to transverse genres, as he raps over a sample of French house legends Daft Punk's 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger'.
