Former Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler has been awarded his third music degree.
Knopfler now has a degree from the University of Sunderland, matching his 1993 doctorate from the University of Newcastle and his 1995 degree from the University of Leeds.The good doctor was recognized by Sunderland for his "outstanding achievements in the field of music".
Dr. K. has also completed his new album. 'Kill To Get Crimson' will be released on 17 September.
