AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has confirmed that a new album is currently being recorded.
Speaking at the Classic Rock Cares tour in Gannett, New Jersey, Johnson told local media outlet the 'Daily Record' that a tour is also in the works."Malcom and Angus (Young) are in the studio," Johnson said. "There's an album in the works, and a tour, too, I think. The boys are working on something special. They don't want to do just another album."
Malcolm Young suggested in January this year that a new album was likely, but that it has "gotta be perfect".
And despite having neither toured for five-and-a-half years nor released an album in more than seven, AC/DC will again be the highest grossing Australian rock group in the BRW Top 50 Entertainers List, to be published tomorrow. Also in the list will be Bernard Fanning, Wolfmother and Rogue Traders.
