The biggest female rap group ever, Salt N' Pepa, return in a new reality TV show on VH1.
Imaginatively titled 'The Salt N' Pepa Show', the Salt N' Pepa show seeks to address the rumours that swirled around the multi-platinum femme-rap pioneers. Five years after their final, gold-selling album 'Brand New', the outfit went their separate ways. Word was that Salt (Cheryl James) found the Lord and Pepa (Sandra Denton) was to pursue and acting career. The VH1 reality show reunites the act, on and off stage. They say it's a classic odd couple scenario. Salt did find God and lives a quiet life, releasing an "inspirational" R&B hip hop album in 2005 called 'Salt Unrapped'. Pepa is still very much the party girl trying to reclaim the high-life they enjoyed back in the '90s after roles in 'Joe's Apartment', the prison drama 'Oz' and a slot on 'The Surreal Life' through the '00s.
The last time the duo performed was at 2005's VH1 Hip Hop Honors, singing 'Whatta Man' with En Vogue. It is unclear as to whether DJ Spinderella will be joining them on the program, which debuts in October.
