Breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow will appear in print and on television public service announcements next month to support the fight against breast cancer.
Sheryl will front the campaign for the FFANY Shoes On Sale breast cancer fundraising event on October 17.The event features shoe manufacturers offering up more than 100,000 pairs of shoes at up to half price with proceeds going to the charity. This is the 14th year of the event.
"This disease has touched my life personally and unfortunately there are so many women receiving the same diagnosis every day," said Crow in a statement. "I am thrilled to be able to offer my support for QVC Presents 'FFANY Shoes on Sale.' The funds raised from this event have helped me and so many women in the fight against breast cancer."
Monies will be raised for the Joyce Eisenberg Keefer Breast Center at John Wayne Cancer Institute at Saint John's Health Center as well as the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania; The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center's Breast Oncology Program; The Gillette Center for Women's Cancers at Dana- Farber Cancer Institute; The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; and The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.
