Artful retro rockers The Exploders prepare album number two and its attendant tour.
In 2005, the throwback trio emerged from regional Victorian outpost Lake Bolac with their self-titled album in hand. Playing an eerily familiar brand of classic rock, echoing everything from Cream to The Easybeats even up to Powderfinger, The Exploders certainly got people talking. After critical acclaim for the first effort, and a slew of foot-stomping live performances, The Exploders headed to Texas to record album number two. Co-produced across the seas by Stuart Sikes (who has worked with Cat Power, Modest Mouse and the White Stripes) and Dave Parkin (three-time WAMI Producer Of The Year), 'Easy And The Sun' promises to be another slab of instantly hooky riffs and snappy arrangements.
The album will be released via Rubber Records on August 4. They'll complement the album by launching all over the South East of Australia.
