Emo-rockers The Used have been forced to cancel their US summer tour due to illness.
Doctors have told vocalist Bert McCracken that he needs surgery to remove a node on his vocal chord. He's been told he needs to rest his voice for five weeks, or risk permanent damage.The band's summer schedule included performances at the touring Warped Festival.
A statement from bandmate Quinn Allman read, "The band is incredibly disappointed but we promise to return to touring in the USA in early September with headlining dates."
