The Red Hot Summer Tour’s Warrnambool show on Sunday 24 March has been cancelled.
Duane McDonald, a tour represenative, said regrettably they had to cancel the show on Easter weekend at Warrnambool as Jimmy Barnes was offered a special guest performance spot with Bruce Springsteen’s at Hanging Rock.
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Jimmy, something the team at the Red Hot Summer Tour support 100 per cent,” he says. “Unfortunately, due to scheduling and timing, the revised date of Sunday 24 March was outside of the peak holiday period, which affected ticket sales, forcing us to cancel the Warrnambool gig for 2013.”
Duane went on to say Warrnambool audiences had always been extremely supportive of the Red Hot Summer Tour and was disappointed that the tour will not be able to visit the coastal town’s racecourse venue this year.
“Warrnambool has always been one of the first show dates we lock in for each annual Red Hot Summer Tour,” he said. “When we start working on the dates for the 2014 tour, we will look at Warrnambool as one of the first cabs of the rank, and hope to make a date work for that run. I want to take this opportunity to thank patrons for their ongoing support of this tour.”
Ticket holders will be able to get full refunds from their point of purchase.
