For many in the Australian music biz, South by Southwest is a mythical land of wonder and mischief that will only be dreamt of, but for a lucky few, that dream becomes a reality.
Throughout the month of August, for those of you in Australia who are considering making the journey across the Pacific to South by Southwest, you might want to head down to seminars in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth over the next month.Speakers will explain to bands, managers and anyone else who wishes to attend how to make the most out of your South by Southwest experience.
Australian bands that have attended include The Living End, End of Fashion, Gyroscope, The Morning After Girls, Wolfmother, John Butler Trio, Missy Higgins and Sarah Blasko amongst many many more.
