The 24 hour Live Earth extravaganza is nearing, and to live up to their quota of playing all seven continents, Live Earth Antarctica has been announced.
The indie rock band Nunatak will be the sole band on the freezing continent, which at this time of year can't be accessed by sea (due to frozen water) or by air (due to the freezing and thin air).Nunatak are made up of five scientists aged 22 to 28 who are stationed on the generally unpopulated continent and play indie rock.
They will be performing to the smallest audience out of all the Live Earth's, with only 17 people watching them, although they will be broadcast out to potentially two billion people through TV, radio and the internet on the 7th of July.
