The Genesis world tour is underway with the first show kicking off in Helsinki, Finland overnight (June 11).
The setlist was made up of mainly of the albums Duke (1980), Invisible Touch (1986) and We Can't Dance (1992) but a fairly good selection of the overall Genesis catalogue made the night.More than 50 concerts across Europe and North America are planned for the rest of 2007.
The line-up featured the commercial end of the band with Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks back together as Genesis, but they failed to talk founder Peter Gabriel into rejoining the ranks.
The band was padded out with drummer Chester Thompson and guitarist Daryl Steurmer.
Collins left the band in 1996 to pursue his solo career and the band pushed on for another album with new singer Ray Wilson.
