Indie screamo punks The Scare come home for the release of a new EP preceding their debut album.
The band, originally from Queensland, took their chaotic punk racket to the UK in 2005. Revered for their spastic live shows, they realised that Australia was too small a stage. Since their relocation to Birmingham, The Scare have created quite a buzz and toured with We Are Scientists, Gallows and played festivals alongside The White Stripes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Air, Daft Punk and more through the UK and Europe. These troublemakers have planned two shows in July in Melbourne and Sydney to launch their new 'Bats! Bats! Bats!' EP. It will be released on June 23 and the title track is ostensibly the first single from their debut album 'Chivalry', to be released on September 1. The album was recorded in Sydney during the Australian summer with producer Scott Horscroft, whose previous work includes The Sleepy Jackson and The Presets.
Experience the mayhem at Sydney's Candy's Apartment on Friday July 6 and at Melbourne's Click Click nightclub on Saturday July 7.
