Following the news of Scottish 'Acceptable In The '80s' producer and singer Calvin Harris writing for Minogue's first album back after treatment for cancer, electro wunderkinds Hot Chip have told NME that they've been asked to contribute.Vocalist, keyboardist, percussionist and guitarist for the outfit, Alexis Taylor, told NME, "We've actually been asked to submit a song and we've not done it yet. We were thinking of palming off 'Ready For The Floor' on Kylie actually."
The cheeky Londoner continued, "It's probably our best shot at a catchy single, so we've been thinking of giving it to her and earning loads of money. Until she hears the song it's all talk really"
Hot Chip are the latest in a string of rumoured collaborators that includes Scissor Sisters on a dancefloor anthem titled 'White Diamonds and Boy George on a song called 'Ready'. She is also said to be working with '90s R&B producer Teddy Riley, who helped popularise the New Jack Swing sound with Bobby Brown, Blackstreet and Guy.
