Lily Allen has blamed Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy for her recent self-image crisis.
Tweedy, who was found guilty in 2003 of assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident with a nightclub worker, has now been accused by Allen of referring to her as a "chick with a dick".This slur, combined with recent comparisons with Kate Moss (Moss and Allen recently launched their own separate fashion labels), apparently led Allen to composing a teary web rant in which she complained of feeling "fat and ugly", and was hence considering liposuction.
But in true Lily Allen fashion she has hit back, and with a little help from her fans she has made the healthy realisation that "there is more to life than being thin!"
She then launched a pointed attack at Tweedy, who is married to Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole, writing, "Cheryl, if you're reading this, I may not be as pretty as you but at least I write and SING my own songs without the aid of autotune. I must say taking your clothes off, doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer must be very gratifying, your mother must be so proud, stupid bitch."
