Smashing Pumpkins have announced two high profile residencies as Billy Corgan prepares to release his band's comeback album.
'Zeitgeist' is released on July 7, and Corgan looks keen to capitalise on the kind of publicity only the internet can provide. He is encouraging fans to record and distribute audio and footage from the band's forthcoming residencies in Asheville, North Carlolina, and San Francisco.The Pumpkins will play nine shows in Asheville in late June and early July at the 900+ capacity Orange Peel club. The eight post-release San Francisco shows take place at the Fillmore Theatre in late July and early August.
