Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx will release 'The Herion Diaries' book and soundtrack.
Not content will his input into the now-classic sleaze-rock memoir 'The Dirt' (or maybe just looking for more cash), Sixx has documented his descent into drug hell in 'The Heroin Diaries'. The book, which follows Tommy Lee's grubby tome 'Tommyland', will focus on his debaucherous efforts during the band's 1980s heyday.Like 'The Dirt' and 'Tommyland', which were co-written by Neil Strauss and Anthony Bozza respectively, Sixx has sought help. Ian Gittins, who has written for The New York Times, The Guardian, Time Out, and The Daily Telegraph, will make sense out of his gibbering.
The book will be accompanied by 'The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack'. Sixx has enlisted the help of multi-platinum songwriter James Michael (who has written for Alanis Morisette, Hilary Duff and Meatloaf) and DJ Ashba (not a DJ but the guitarist for LA glam rockers Beautiful Creatures).
The album is expected to feature twelve tracks, one for each chapter of the book, and will be released late August. The book is slated for a late September release.
