Keane frontman Tom Chaplain has today told of his disappointment in the famed London rehab centre The Priory.
Chaplain says he felt like he had joined a cult and he's come out of there just as screwed up as when he went in.In an interview with Q magazine, Chaplain also hit back (a year later) at Kasabian who accused him of entering the Priory as a publicity stunt.
"That would have been a dirty and pointless publicity stunt. Kasabian... if you pitched me into a battle to see who could get more wasted with any of those guys, I'd definitely come out of the winner. Or loser, depending on which way you look at it. I had a good capacity for getting trashed. I was no lightweight."
The singer also contemplated suicide, telling Q "I was at the end of my tether in Japan. I was tired of my life and feeling pretty suicidal. I got off the plane and phoned my dad. I'd told him that I'd left the band and that I was falling apart. I checked myself into The Priory."
The Priory is not taken seriously amongst many drug workers in London.
