Pickett climbed the charts three times with his only hit song 'The Monster Mash'. The song was a hit in 1962, 1970 and 1973.
Pickett died Wednesday night at Los Angeles Veterans Hospital from leukemia.While only known for 'Monster Mash', Pickett won fans from all levels of the music industry. Bob Dylan played the song on his XM Radio show and announced it by saying "Our next artist is considered a one-hit wonder, but his one hit comes back year after year."
Bobby 'Boris' Pickett is survived by his sister, daughter, two grandchildren, Frankenstein, Dracula and the Werewolf.
