Matt Dillon has teamed up with Dinosaur Jr again, this time to direct their new video.
Dillon was the man behind the scenes for the video for 'Been There All The Time'.The project puts Dillon back with Dinosaur Jr for the first time since the movie 'Grace Of My Heart.' In the 1997 Alison Anders movie, Dillon played the Brian Wilson like character Jay Phillips who marries the Carole King-like character Denise Waverly, played by Illeana Douglas. Dinosaur Jr's J. Mascis had a small role on the movie playing a recording engineer. Dinosuar Jr also contributed music to the movie soundtrack.
Dillon filmed the new video in a basement owned by Sonic Youth. The storyboard tells the history of the band from their 1988 EP 'Bugs'.
'Been There All The Time' will feature on the Dinosaur Jr comeback album 'Beyond', which features the reunited team of Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph.
The album will be released on April 28th.
