Eskimo Joe's 'Black Fingernails, Red Wine' album will be released in August in the USA on Rykodisc.
'Black Fingernails, Red Wine' was a number one album for the band in Australia. The album is still Top 30 after 44 weeks on the ARIA chart and has sold more than 200,000 units.Eskimo Joe benchmarks to date are:
- Triple-platinum (soon to be quadruple) selling album.
- Seven ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Awards) nominations
- Four ARIA wins for Best Single for the album's title track, Best Producers for their self-production efforts, Best DVD and Best Engineer (Matt Lovell).
- Three WAMIs (West Australian Music Awards), including the award for Best Single.
- The radio singles "Black Fingernails, Red Wine," "Sarah," and "New York" all charted at Top 40 radio (#6, #12 and #26 respectively).
- Eskimo Joe has performed in front of crowds of over 40,000 alongside such artists as The Killers, Modest Mouse, Muse, Lily Allen and My Chemical Romance.
