Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has spoken about his expected solo album, saying it could take a while, but he has songs for it.
Gallagher told NME, "I've actually got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up. The thing about a solo record is the time to do one is between Oasis world tours because you'd have a good couple of years."The older Gallagher has written some of Oasis' biggest hits, including 'Wonderwall' and 'Live Forever'.
Oasis are also currently working on a new album, expected to be released sometime in 2008. Can we expect Noel to keep all his best songs for his solo effort? That remains to be seen.
Gallagher was in Australia recently for a brief solo tour playing to intimate crowds in Melbourne and Sydney.
