Grand old alterna-rock heroes Magic Dirt plan a mini-album and an extensive tour.
In December 2006 the band reported that they'd been working on new songs, "heavy, dark and intense" according to them, and recorded them quickly at Melbourne's Headgap Studios. By the end of March the mixes and artwork were being finalised.The mini-album is being planned for a May release and the band are, "itching to plug in and play loud." They get the opportunity to crank out some of their new tunes at Sydney's Rockin' For Rights concert on April 22 at the Sydney Cricket Ground alongside Beast of Bourbon, Hoodoo Gurus, You Am I and stacks more. They've also announced a national tour for July.
