Gangajang's Mark Callaghan Named General Manager of Australian Music Publishers Association.
Singer/guitarist Mark Callaghan will front the Australian Music Publishers Association.Callaghan was previously General Manager of Shock Publishing and will take up the General Manager role for AMPAL.
"As a singer, songwriter, musician and industry professional with a passion for Australian music, I am delighted to be working with AMPAL as it continues to face the challenges of today's digital marketplace on behalf of Australia's publishers," Mark said in a statement.
Callaghan once fronted The Riptides as well as Gangajang. He wrote the Gangajang anthem 'Sounds of Then (This Is Australia) as well as their hits 'Gimme Some Lovin' and 'House of Cards'.
Prior to working for Shock, Callaghan was also A&R Manager for Festival Records.
His position became effective at AMPAL on April 2nd.
