Global warming has officially taken over from African poverty as the socio-political issue of choice for the modern day celebrity, with Sheryl Crow commencing a bus tour of US colleges to raise awareness about environmental change.
Travelling across America in a bio-diesel powered bus, Crow's first stop was at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, the state which leads the country in fossil fuel emissions."I am here because the more I learn about global warming the more I feel compelled to do something in my own way whatever that is," she told the students, undoubtedly in awe at the fact that these words were uttered not by a politician or scientist, but a fully credentialed celebrity.
According to Greenpeace, it's not yet known what environmental effect the gaseous emissions of celebrities will have on future generations.
