Late night music video staple Rage is celebrating 20 years on air by letting one lucky punter program a night.
Dubbed the 'Invade Rage' competition, one bleary-eyed music fan will get to live the dream by choosing a night's worth of clips. For the first time you won't get caught in what producer Narelle Gee told The Age is "the Rage trap", prising your eyes open for "just one more".To enter the competition, fill out your details on abc.net.au/rage. They're asking punters to submit a list of twenty clips and explain why at least five of them are special. Entrants only get one shot each and the winner will be judged by the current programmers of Rage, focussing on creativity, accessibility "panache and style". Entries close on May 4.
The Age reports that to celebrate the 20-year milestone, Rage will be dedicating the Easter Saturday night/Sunday morning to a retrospective of pop clips from 1987-1991, from Beastie Boys to Faith No More to U2. The birthday specials continue through April, before returning to guest slots from Peter, Bjorn & John, +44, Wolf & Cub and Timo Maas in May.
