Missy Higgins has announced a comprehensive Australian tour in May to launch her new album.
Following the release of her jangly sweet new single 'Steer', Missy Higgins has planned a May tour to launch her second full-length album 'On A Clear Night', due out on April 28. The dates are her first solo shows in Australia in over 18 months.Higgins will be showcasing a new completely new band for the tour. She has been warming them up at appearances at The Great Escape and East Coast Blues And Roots Festivals.
She said on her myspace, "I'm really looking forward to finally getting back on the road and playing with the new band". After the heady rush of her first album and tours, she notes, "This time around I feel more ready. I've got a lot more confidence in myself as a performer and as a songwriter and I have a much stronger idea of what I want to do with my music. Hopefully people will be able to hear that in these new songs."
