The Bee Gees will be honored with the BMI Icons award by BMI at the 55th annual Pop Awards on May 15 in Los Angeles.
Bee Gees will join an exclusive list of artists who have previously received the award including Paul Simon, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Brian Wilson, James Brown and Carlos Santana.To date, the Bee Gees have been recipients of 109 various BMI Awards. They have also won four BMI Song of the Year awards for 'Too Much heaven', 'Night Fever' and 'Islands In The Stream'.
The evening will include an all-star tribute to the Bee Gees. Artists will be named soon.
The event will be held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills for an invite-only audience.
