Sleep Parade Announced Release New Album ‘INSIDE/OUT’ + Announced for Dead Letter Circus Support
Returning from their critically-lauded debut album Things Can Always Change, revamped and revitalised, Melbourne’s Sleep Parade are set to release their epic second opus INSIDE/OUT on July 5th and have just been announced to support Dead Letter Circus on their ‘The Catalyst Fire Tour’.
After hunkering down at Sing Sing Studios with acclaimed ARIA-nominated producer Forrester Savell, sophomore album INSIDE/OUT is a powerful yet sonically beautiful statement. From the epic rifforama of opener Devil’s Door, to the blissed-out rock brawn of Oxygen and 2:09, the soaring pop splendour of Footsteps to the acoustic ramble of The River, it is clear Sleep Parade have not only stepped up, but the band are now a completely different beast.
One constant that remains is Davies’ powerfully versatile voice, wielding with prowess yet cracked vulnerability. The album is intensely personal for Davies, reflecting on his own spiritual change. Davies states, “The last album, Things Can Always Change, focused on my father’s mental illness. This one however is about spiritual change and the realisation that I am not a shadow forever dictated by the path that my father paved for me. I am, and everyone is, essentially their own teacher and master, capable of breaking through the shackles and letting go of the baggage that we are forced to carry from a very young age with no choice. So this album is a journey through the inner change to the external change, one that slowly releases and unfurls as the album progresses.”
Coinciding with the release of the album, Sleep Parade have also just been announced to support Brisbane’s Dead Letter Circus on their national tour, alongside Closure in Moscow, in what will be a MASSIVE night of rock.
Sleep Parade have awoken and a new beast is ready to be unleashed.
Sleep Parade New Album INSIDE/OUT released July 5, through Green/MGM.
