KIRIN J CALLINAN
Kirin J Callinan, known for his controversial live performances, has recently wrapped up a European tour playing a sold out Olympia in Paris with Grizzly Bear in May. Currently on tour supporting Ariel Pink in shows across North America, Kirin will return to Australia for the release of his debut album Embracism. Kirin J Callinan will support Midnight Juggernauts in all cities apart from Perth and Bunbury.
FASCINATOR
Written and recorded in capricious solitude next to a Brooklyn auto-mechanics; Fascinator’s debut EPs ‘Birth’ and ‘Earth’ are a trip-sloppy immersion into multi-coloured personal amusement and garbage can mesmerisms. Lord Fascinator supported Tame Impala as part of their North American tour making his Australian debut at Hobart’s Dark MoFO and supporting UK psych band Splashh. Facinator will support Midnight Juggernauts nationally.
USURPER OF MODERN MEDICINE
Hailing from Perth, in 2012 Usurper toured New Zealand and Australia and released their second EP ‘Turbo Handshake’. Usurper was nominated for two West Australian Music Industry (WAMi) awards including ‘Most Popular Album / EP’ for ‘Acid Chess’ and winning in the category ‘Experimental Act of the Year.’ Usurper Of Modern Medicine will support Midnight Juggernauts in Perth and Bunbury only.
Uncanny Valley marks Midnight Juggernaut’s third full-length journey into the deep, once again piloting their glittery kosmische musik far into known cosmos and unknown genre. The band began rolling tape between a church nestled in the Loire Valley in the French countryside and various studios in Melbourne and Sydney; the resulting record is another LP that sounds uniquely Midnight Juggernauts.
Midnight Juggernauts will launch Uncanny Valley in Europe and South America this June and July 2013, playing shows in Colombia, Argentina, Chile, UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and Portugal. View all the tour dates here.
