It's 20 years since Salmonella Dub played their first shows around the South Island of New Zealand. The band are celebrating this milestone with their first single release 'Same Home Town' from their forthcoming 8th album, due next year.
The Salmonella DJ Soundsystem are out and about in Australia and NZ over July and August with shows to launch this exciting new release, and are stopping by the Espy on Friday 2 August.
The Salmonella DJ Soundsystem features the band's Andrew Penman on the mix, cutting up remixes and dubplates from Salmonella Dub's entire catalogue plus a variety of contemporary dub step, dance hall and DnB vinyl. This dancefloor selection incorporates guests the Mighty Asterix on vocals plus Mich, Ants and Si on power house horns and percussion. The Salmonella DJ Soundsystem live dance experience is mixed to a backdrop of big screen visuals and a moving light show.
