Over the past year, Australian artist Lee’Mon has begun revealing pieces of his dynamic and mysterious character. After releasing his first two singles ‘Albury’ and ‘Genetics’, Lee’Mon has most recently packed up his bags and trekked to the other side of the Earth, preparing for the next instalment of his musical diary.
CHAPTER THREE … THE SINGLE ‘ALBERT, ADAM & EVE
Recently spotted playing to a packed sleezy London venue, full of evolving Australopithecus and mobile phone sales people, Lee’Mon’s new offering challenges the very concepts of creationism and evolution, with his new track ‘Albert, Adam & Eve’.
A fitting third instalment from this original & elusive piece of cosmic matter, strutting a guitar, bow tie and turkey baster, the song tells the story of Albert II, the first monkey in space.
The song is smooth as silk! Its atmospheric strings & bells are sent floating along a dirtied up Rhodes piano. Howling melodies glide from one instrument to another showing off Lee’Mons maturity and obscurity as a song writer. Produced by Paul ‘Woody’ Annison (Children Collide, Hunting Grounds), the song is accompanied on drums by Ex-Children collide drummer Ryan Caeser, who powerfully enters the song during an uplifting crescendo.
One thing’s for sure, if Creationism verses Evolution verses Aliens does your head in, then “YOU DON’T WORRY” because Lee’Mon’s on the case.
