Middle-aged rock heroes Bon Jovi announce their ninth studio album 'Lost Highway'.
According to reports, the band are leaning towards a more stadium country sound, as evidenced by their 'Have A Nice Day' album of 2005 which scored them a Billboard Hot Country Chart number one, a collaboration with Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles. This is reinforced by the band employing the skills of Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts producer Dan Huff, and Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge producer John Shanks. The first single '(You Want To) Make A Memory' was released to US radio on March 20 and the album is slated for a June 19 release. The band will start promoting the album by performing at the CMT Awards next month, on 'American Idol' in May and on NBC's Today Show on the day of release. They're also reportedly preparing a tour, possibly around their already announced slot on July's Live Earth concert.
Although the album title may be a sly David Lynch reference, the title track recently appeared in the slightly less high-brow 'Wild Hogs' film. And to further confirm their move to the country side of town, their new duet with Big & Rich 'We Got It Goin' On' is to be the theme for ESPN's Arena Football League season.
