Iggy & The Stooges have a new album to sell and Iggy was using SxSW to spread the word.
Saturday night was the main official showcase for the Stooges at the legendary Austin venue Stubbs.Iggy Pop pranced out just after 12.30am with fellow Stooges brothers Ron and Scott Asheton and bass player Mike Watt.
The setlist relied heavily on the new album 'The Weirdness'. 'Trollin', 'My Idea Of Fun', 'ATM' and 'She Took My Money' blended in well with the classics 'Loose', 'I Wanna Be Your Dog', 'TV Eye' and '1970'.
For the finale was Iggy invited the audience of stage for 'No Fun'.
'The Weirdness' is the first album for the Stooges in 35 years. It was released last week through EMI.
